Apple is reportedly working on a new version of its voice assistant, Siri, that will leverage advanced large language models (LLMs) to deliver more natural and conversational interactions. According to information shared by Bloomberg, this development represents Apple’s effort to enhance its AI capabilities and compete with advancements from other tech companies, such as Google’s Gemini Live, which is known for its highly conversational nature.

The redesigned Siri is expected to completely replace the current version, offering a more dynamic and intuitive experience for users. Apple aims to launch this feature by the spring of 2026. Reports suggest the updated Siri will function similarly to OpenAI’s Advanced Voice Mode while retaining the ability to access personal data and applications, a capability integral to Siri’s current interface.

In the interim, Apple is collaborating with third-party AI providers to integrate advanced features into its ecosystem. Starting in December, OpenAI’s ChatGPT will be accessible within Apple Intelligence, and Apple is reportedly exploring partnerships with other AI developers, including Google and Anthropic.

These advancements highlight Apple’s efforts to close the gap in AI innovation while preparing a robust and modernized version of Siri for future use.
